Our History
TechServ grew out of founder J.R. Staines commitment to the utility industry. He respected the work, understood the needs, and launched TechServ to answer the call. Since 1992, what began with one man has grown into a service company with more than 650 employees.
TechServ was engaged by a municipal utility to prepare an apprentice training program.
TechServ was awarded its first contract to provide oversight services for TXU for transmission construction projects.
TechServ was awarded its first Joint Use Service project to provide services for TXU.
TechServ was awarded its first Oversight Transmission contract with AEP. The contract covered multiple states and service territories for AEP.
TechServ opened a Corpus Christi office to better serve our clientele surrounding the Gulf of Mexico.
TechServ responded to Hurricane Maria with more than 100 resources to help evaluate the damage and help prepare a restoration plan.
Randall has over 30 years of experience in the electric power engineering, testing and construction industry while holding several senior executive positions for a Fortune 500 company.
TechServ was awarded its first Fiber Design project for Charter Communications. TechServ provided fiber network design for multiple locations.
Randall Wisenbaker was named Chief Executive Officer.
TechServ’s growth over the past several years necessitated a move into a new corporate office in order to consolidate several local offices.
